Our Programs
From emergency assistance to youth programs, our initiatives make a real difference in people's lives.
What we support
Community needs rarely fit neatly into one category, so our programs can take many forms. Sometimes a relatively small amount of money makes an enormous difference to the organization receiving it. When a gift is made, we will name the recipient here, so you can see exactly where support went.
Veteran emergency assistance
Supporting organizations that help a veteran or family through a short-term crisis before it becomes something much larger.
Veteran and family support
Supporting veteran organizations with specific projects, and the families standing beside those who serve.
Youth baseball
Supporting local youth baseball so more kids can play.
Scouting and youth programs
Supporting youth organizations so a young person can take part in an activity the family cannot afford.
Scholarships and education
Educational opportunities for students and young people in our community.
Community service projects
Community improvement, food and holiday programs, school events, public-safety programs, memorials, and other legitimate local needs.
The PCS Dignity Fund
An envisioned program. The Dignity Fund would help families facing burial or cremation expenses after an unexpected death or severe financial hardship.
Partner with providers
PCS could work directly with local funeral homes and cremation providers.
Reduced nonprofit rates
Establish reduced nonprofit rates so help goes further.
Paid directly
Pay approved expenses directly to the provider.
It may never make headlines, but at the worst moment in someone’s life it can mean everything.
Helping other organizations do more
We do not need to replace anyone. A veterans organization should keep serving veterans, a youth organization should keep helping children, and a food pantry should keep feeding families. PCS can help them do more by:
- Funding a specific program
- Purchasing needed equipment
- Connecting a nonprofit with a sponsor
- Sharing resources or creating a joint project
- Bringing attention to good work already being done
Ask for support
PCS partners with established organizations that serve veterans, first responders and our communities. If your organization has a project or program that needs support, tell us about it. We want to be positioned to say, “We can help.”
Please include your organization’s name, your tax-exempt status, a short description of the project, and the amount you are requesting.
PCS does not provide direct financial assistance to individuals. If you are an individual in need, help may be available through state, county and city services, as well as churches or other community organizations designed for individual help.
